Developer

Candidate will perform data analysis, access, manipulation, database design, programming, testing and implementation, technical and user documentation, database conversions and writing SAS and other statistical programming code.

Candidate is responsible for producing quality assurance reports, data quality checks, and quality improvement monitoring reports.

Job Description:

​

• The SAS Developer is an integral part of the Business Data and Insights (BDI) production team. This person works within the production team to maintain analytics products written in SAS and perform enhancement on an as needed basis. This position is also responsible for monitoring and performing ad-hoc enhancements and troubleshooting of pre-existing analytics products.

• Work as part of the production team to maintain analytics products in SAS, perform enhancements, and monitor for any potential issues.

• Work to maintain and enhance source SAS code and process flows for BD&I’s production group.

• Follow the production team’s standards and best practices for coding, testing, and documentation.

• Perform ad-hoc SAS coding enhancements on current analytics products with little to no direction.

• Monitor scheduled SAS jobs using job scheduler tools and troubleshoot any potential issues that arise.

Minimum skills required:

​

• Proficiency in SAS is a necessity for this role

• Basic knowledge of Python highly preferred

• Basic proficiency in SQL. Able to understand SAS code and enhance it given direction from the business.

• Communicator both at technical and strategic levels

• Experience discussing complex and new topics in a simple, easy-to-understand way

• Demonstrated teamwork skills

• Demonstrated writing and presentation skills
